At Ivy, we consider diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) as core values that guide both our internal culture and our external mission.

We understand just transitions not only as technical or economic processes, but as profound social transformations that must be inclusive, gender-sensitive and equitable to be truly sustainable.

These principles are embedded in our values of social and gender justice, collaboration, empowerment and transparency, ensuring that our work promotes fair opportunities and amplifies the voices of historically underrepresented groups.

Externally, Ivy incorporates gender and social justice perspectives in policy design, systems modeling and project implementation.

This implies prioritizing vulnerable communities, making the leadership of women and minorities visible in just transitions, and designing participatory processes that ensure that local stakeholders are protagonists in the decisions that affect their future.

Internally, we are building a diverse and multidisciplinary team that values different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

Our hiring processes emphasize equity and inclusion, while our leadership promotes an organizational culture that is collaborative, respectful and recognizes the contribution of each individual.

As a young organization in the process of accelerated growth and with a presence in several countries of the Global South, we face the challenge of balancing institutional expansion with the need to systematize sound DEI policies and practices.

This involves navigating diverse cultural contexts and structural barriers where gender equity and social inclusion are not always fully institutionalized, as well as working within philanthropic funding schemes often focused on specific projects.

Therefore, we are proactively strengthening our internal capabilities and consolidating policies that integrate DEI transversally in our methodologies, programs and teams.

Our commitment is to advance just transitions in an equitable manner, amplifying the voices and opportunities of all those who have historically been excluded.

At Ivy, we believe in just transitions that not only transform energy, climate and land systems, but also people's lives.
