{"id":1273,"date":"2025-05-05T14:56:59","date_gmt":"2025-05-05T17:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asociacionivy.xyz\/jose-freitas\/"},"modified":"2025-12-18T16:28:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T19:28:30","slug":"jose-freitas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundacionivy.org\/en\/jose-freitas\/","title":{"rendered":"Jos\u00e9 Freitas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"et_pb_member_position\">He is an architect and holds a Master&#8217;s degree in Land Management and Urban Development from the Universidad de la Rep\u00fablica de Uruguay.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A specialist in management, planning and sustainable land use planning, he has been a guest lecturer in undergraduate and graduate courses, has given numerous presentations at different seminars and congresses and has participated in publications and research work on these topics.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2016 and February 2020, he was the National Director of Land Management of Uruguay; between 2011 and 2015, he had been the Director of Planning, Territorial Management and Urban Development of the Department of Canelones of Uruguay.<\/p>\n<p>He has been responsible coordinator and\/or co-author in different instruments of Land Management and Sustainable Development at national, departmental and local levels: Law of National Land Management Guidelines; Law of National Land Management Guidelines for the Coastal Space of the R\u00edo de la Planta and the Atlantic Ocean; National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change in Cities and Infrastructure; Departmental Land Management Guidelines of Canelones; Departmental System of Environmental Protection Areas, among others.
