The global philanthropic organization Climate Breakthrough announced the new cohort of its prestigious Climate Breakthrough Award, which in 2025 includes Ramón Méndez Galain from Uruguay alongside leaders from Brazil, the United States, Singapore, Chile, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands.

This year’s winners are:
- Alessandra Orofino
- Gavin McCormick
- Liming Qiao
- Ramón Méndez Galain
- A team composed of Giuliana Furci, Merlin Sheldrake, and Toby Kiers.
Each of them will develop, launch, and scale their most ambitious initiatives to drive large-scale political, economic, and social transformations in the face of the climate crisis.
The award provides $4 million in flexible, multi-year funding—the largest individual financial award in climate action—to support the design and growth of these projects.
