Soledad Mantero

Urban Planner from Universidad Simón Bolívar, Venezuela, with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the same institution and a Specialization Diploma in Geographic Information Systems applied to urban planning from ITC in Holland.

He has a vast and multidisciplinary experience in the direction and coordination of territorial planning and management projects, both for the public and private sectors, in several countries of the region. His skills in the analysis and synthesis of diverse topics and the conceptualization and design of systems oriented to land management and sustainable development, mainstreaming emerging issues such as climate change adaptation, nature-based urban solutions and urban resilience, among others, stand out.

She combines more than 30 years of experience as a consultant in land use planning, protected areas planning, design and development of territorial information systems, working for IDB, CAF, UNDP, UNESCO, AECID, among others, with extensive experience in public management in both local and national governments in Venezuela, Argentina and Uruguay.
