Ivy signs strategic agreement with Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energies
Ivy is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Argentine Renewable Energy Chamber (CADER), marking a significant milestone on the road to a sustainable energy future in Latin America. This agreement formalizes the collaboration between the two organizations to foster the deployment of renewable energies and promote energy transition initiatives in Argentina.
The signing of the MOU, which took place on January 20, 2025, underscores the mutual commitment of both institutions to sustainable development. This agreement seeks to catalyze joint projects that promote the use of non-conventional renewable energies, such as solar, wind, biomass and small hydropower, among others, thus contributing to a cleaner, more reliable and affordable energy system.
Key areas of cooperation The MOU establishes a basis for the implementation of joint projects in the following priority areas:
- Design, structuring and execution of programs associated with the energy transition in Argentina.
- Identification and mobilization of external financing for renewable projects.
- Development of regulatory frameworks and public policies that facilitate the incorporation of renewable energies.
- Knowledge dissemination, training and communication for the promotion of sustainable energy in Argentina and the region.
A shared commitment to sustainable development Ivy will make available its extensive experience in energy policy design and philanthropic fundraising, and will actively contribute to the development of a portfolio of innovative projects for Argentina. For its part, CADER, as a benchmark in the renewable energy sector in Argentina, will contribute its network of strategic actors and local knowledge to ensure the success of the initiatives.
“This agreement represents a fundamental step to consolidate regional leadership in the transition to clean energy. At Ivy, we reaffirm our commitment to work hand in hand with strategic allies such as CADER to build a sustainable future for all of Latin America”, stated Ramón Méndez, Ivy’s Executive Director.
Next steps Both organizations are already working on identifying priority projects and designing joint strategies to mobilize funding from international agencies, multilateral banks and philanthropic funds.
